The hot and dry 2010 vintage has given us a beautifully classic, cool climate Adelaide Hills wine with lifted fruit flavours of red cherry, currants and dark plum. Hints of cinnamon, spice and pomegranate and displaying its class with excellent length and a textural earth finish. Matured in French Oak for 18 months, this wine will keep for at least 10 years.
Tasting Review
Newly launched due to sales success of the 2009 vintage, this wine is ready to drink now. Whilst still in the flourish of youth the 2010 Shiraz offers the drinker plenty to enjoy. This is an excellent food wine. The tannic structure works well with delicately cooked meats and spices. A recent tasting of the 2007 Shiraz shows how well our Shiraz's are ageing. The 2007 still had the brightness and fruit characteristics from its youth but had added some deeper notes. The combination of Natasha's winemaking prowess, quality fruit and screw caps are resulting in long lived cool climate Shiraz wine. We are confident the 2010 will be a cellared classic.
